Best Fade in Glenside

I’ve traveled quite a bit for what I consider to be a good skin fade, and for good reason, a solid haircut makes me feel good about myself and my interactions with others, which goes a long way for me.

The haircut is just one part of the overall experience, however.

Customer service, environment and personality are at the top of my list when it comes to finding that barber that I know I’m going to stick with for the long haul.

For me, that barber is Henry at FRENTU FADES Barber Studio.

I don’t just speak for myself when I say that I have followed him from his last shop to his new one that he owns and operates.

He’s come a long way from his last shop and can now proudly run his own Veteran Owned establishment, and if I had to guess, I think that the status of being Veteran Owned was probably a goal of his as a barber.

Henry not only has the skills like no other barber I’ve seen, he has the personality to match the skills.

He is so welcoming and humble that I feel like I’m getting my haircut at home when I show up.

Henry knows how to talk to people, makes them feel comfortable and treats them with respect.

With roots out of the Dominican Republic, Henry’s Father and Grandfather were barbers in the mountains of San Jose de las Matas.

He’s a third generation barber and you know it as soon as you walk through the door, much like the feeling of walking through the doors of The Reading Terminal Market - the authenticity knocks you off your feet.

He takes his shop to the next level by keeping his customers entertained with classic gaming systems of the 80s-90s and an arcade cabinet with even more games, so you’re never bored waiting for a cut.

I’m not a betting man, but I would place any wager on Henry and Alex being the best fade in Glenside, and the beyond for that matter.
